Play the Lute - Chinese instrument. Like strumming a guitar. Strum the lute. Playing Pipa.


Play the Lute - L
- Take half a step back with the Right foot with the ball of foot on the floor. Turn both palms and stretch the right arm a little.
- Weight in back leg Sit back. Backleg now has the force/weight/stability.
- bring the Right hand back + Left hand forward so that the Right palm faces protects left elbow.
- Left foot is empty. Adjust your left foot - bring it back a little. Turn palms to face each other and extend the right arm forward a little.

The importance of Play the Lute is to point the Lao Gung to the center of the elbow (3 acupuncture meridians running through the elbow) and to connect them and increase the energetic effect.

Gently squeeze the ball

Pericardium Meridian/flow.
The center of the inside of the arm from tip of middle finger through the center of the elbow and up thru the collarbone.


Martial Meaning
- Yield to incoming force (Step back) - and redirect.
- Getting something out of the way and then punch
- Wipe off the blood (fan)
- Pull wrist, slide along arm, rearrange arm
